Ricardo, bred and trained in Holland, participated in the 1999 KNPV PH1 championships. He was brought to the US in September of 1999, and has since been participating in K9 Tournaments, and in PSA. Ricardo qualified for the K9PS National Championship in 2000, and also for the 2002 PSA 2 National Championship, and this year will be entered in the 2003 PSA 3 National Championship. Ricardo is one of only 3 dogs in the United States to have been trained and titled at the elite PSA 3 level. Ricardo, also narcotics trained, routinely searches the schools of Lee County North Carolina.
Ricardo is an extreme dog in terms of his size, power and drive. He reproduces himself very well, and many sons of his are now in the US, participating is various sports. He has had numerous progeny titled to PH 1, and many of his sons and daughters are competing in protection sports in the US. Ricardo was evaluated and selected by the US Military to participate in their Superdog Breeding Program during 2002-2003.
